Big Blue After School
The Big Blue After School Program serves the large majority of our students. Designed to encourage and support children’s social and emotional development as well as their academic progress. The program offers creative, engaging literacy and arts-based enrichment along with physical recreation components for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. We partner with the San Francisco Arts Education Project to combine arts education with after-school activities.
Academic Support
We provide academic support designed with input from school-day lesson plans in reading, writing, science and math. We focus on assigned homework time for students, practicing essential habits of learning, and teaching of homework organization skills.
Arts-based Enrichment
We have a variety of art-based enrichment activities that focus on developing skills in visual arts, music and rhythm, dance and theater.
Physical & Recreation Activities
We know everyone needs a little time to run and play, so physical and recreation activities are also offered through a variety of individual and team sports, as well as instruction in healthy lifestyle mind/body exercises.

Cost
The Big Blue After School fees apply to all families with the exception of children who are either homeless, in foster care, or qualify for free/reduced lunch. There are several options for payment. We provide care Monday through Friday from the school dismissal bell until 6:00 p.m. on all school days. This will include the Wednesday early release day. We currently do not offer before school care.

Enrollment Process
Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event that we are unable to accommodate everyone, we will create a waitlist. If you have any questions regarding the enrollment process, please contact us.

Applications
Please complete this form to enroll your child in the Big Blue After School Program. We serve Kindergarten through 5th grades. All portions of the form must be complete in order for your child to attend the program. If you have an any questions, please contact our Program Manager, Susan Tramontana.
